Sabi is also represents an important Japanese aesthetic value. The word implies the combined elements of old age, loneliness, resignation and tranquility. More concretely, Sabi means the elegance that flows naturally from a simple, refined essence. For example, no matter how much an old man, dressed in armor, might fight bravely, one would still be able to recognize his figure as that of an old man. The concept of sabi was fostered by Matsuo Basho(1644-94), the leading Haiku master and his followers. (from "A Guidebook to Jaspan and its Customs" of Nihonbungeisha by MUKAI,Kyouko)
In this project, I also want to have this sense. And establishing this is my main target.. : )
